2005 AQHA Perlino stallion is enrolled in the AQHA Breeders Incentive Fund. Kentucky Quarter Horse Breeders Incentive Fund show points earned 100 times the value of AQHA Incentive Fund points in 2007. Kentucky born and bred foals this year are eligible to receive $2771.73 per point! "Mooney" is a 2005 AQHA perlino stallion. We acquired him from Westerfield Family Farms in TX. He is a great horse to ride and is proving to be a quick learner. We hope to begin showing him in the ARHA and other shows soon. He will later enter more extensive training under saddle to perfect a specific discipline. He currently stands over 15.3 hands and growing! Mooney has an attractive, clean head and great overall conformation. Please feel free to come visit him!
His sire is a 16hh buckskin stallion Smart Two Eyed, bred and branded by the Pitzer Ranch. Smart Two Eyed is also a son of AQHA Champion Two Eyed Red Buck who stands at the Pitzer Ranch, as well as a grandson of AQHA Superhorse Mr Baron Red, and Jack Eyed. Other paternal relatives are Red Baron Bell, Two Eyed Patti, Harlan's Tyree, Two Eyed Jack, Ready Now and other point earners.
His dam, Zipin Review, has AQHA and PHBA points in halter and western pleasure. She is by Impressive Review (N/N), which makes her a granddaghter of Pretty Impressive. She is out of a daughter of Zippo Pine Bar and other notables within three generations back are Impressive, Skip A Barb, Taffy Blanton, Zippo Pat Bars, and Dollie Pine.
Mooney has been tested by UC Davis to be Ee Aa Cr which means he is homozygous for the cream gene and he is definately a perlino. Two Eyed Zipinreview will produce a palomino, buckskin, or smoky black foal when bred to sorrel, bay, or black mares. In addition he could produce a cremello, perlino or smoky cream if bred to buckskin, palomino, or smoky black mares. Always remember, as with any stallion if your mare is gray the foal has at least a 50% chance of also turning gray, but if sired by a double dilute such as Mooney the foal will still carry the cream dilute gene
Mooney is HYPP N/N. His breeders say he should mature to 16hh, possibly taller. Check back for updates, Mooney will be standing at stud in 2008 and will offer incentives for proven mares and proven producers. 100% guaranteed dilute foals.
